History of Samantha Afanador
I first became interested in the Hispanic population when I was 16 years old. I volunteered with the Amigos de Las Americas group and spent 8 weeks in the Dominican Republic, teaching community sanitation, english skills and proper hygiene training.
It was in the Dominican Republic that I fine tuned my bilingual skills. Ever since, I have been performing duties of translator and interpretor for the Spanish-speaking community.
I have recieved 14 credits in Spanish from Kent State University and am currently undergoing Certification in Community Translation from Lake Erie College.
Mission Statement
I am committed to providing the Spanish-speaking and English-speaking communities with quality translation and interpretation to better the communication gap.
